Description
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Snapper fish steaks (6–8 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon of sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
- Optional: Fresh herbs (like thyme or oregano) for garnish
Instructions
- Heat your grill to a medium-high temperature, aiming for around 375°F (190°C).
- Combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Stir this mixture until well blended.
- Gently brush both sides of the snapper steaks with the oil and lemon mixture. This not only adds flavor but also helps prevent sticking.
- Once the grill is hot, lay the fish steaks on the grate. Let them cook undisturbed for about 4 to 5 minutes. You’re looking for nice grill marks and a golden crust to form.
- Carefully flip the steaks using a spatula. Grill on the other side for another 4 to 5 minutes. The snapper is done when its flesh becomes opaque and it flakes easily when tested with a fork.
- Take the steaks off the grill and place them on a serving platter. Let them rest for a couple of minutes. This rest time lets the juices redistribute, ensuring each bite is moist and flavorful.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.
